In order to deepen fire safety education and improve the ability of employees to resist and respond to emergencies, Yantai Haitai conducted a fire safety emergency drill on the afternoon of October 27, 2023. A total of 42 people participated in the training drill, which lasted for about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Fire safety knowledge training
At 2 pm, all employees attended a special training session on "Fire Safety Emergency Exercise" in the conference room of the office building. Through training, all employees were made aware of what emergency drills are, the importance of emergency drills, and relevant national laws and regulations. The training provided a detailed introduction to the usage methods of our company's existing fire protection facilities and equipment, as well as the specific layout plans of fire protection facilities and equipment in each area, so that everyone can better use the surrounding fire protection facilities and equipment for firefighting and self rescue in case of sudden fire accidents.
At the end of the training, Mr. You delivered a speech on site. Mr. You emphasized the importance of fire safety management and the need for employees to enhance their personal awareness of fire safety, stating that "hidden dangers are more dangerous than open flames, and prevention is better than disaster relief.". Mr. You emphasized once again that employees are not allowed to throw cigarette butts around in the company, and smoking is strictly prohibited after entering the warehouse. He also reminded all departments to turn off the power and conduct fire safety inspections when leaving work. It is required that the warehouse must apply for a hot work permit in accordance with regulations when carrying out hot work, and do a good job in personal protection, personnel supervision, and fire extinguishing preparation.
Simulate emergency evacuation in case of sudden fire
15: 12. Simulate the scene of a fire on site, and the rescue team quickly judges the fire situation by observing it. Pull the power switch, report the fire, and open the electric escape door, all in one go!
15: 13. After the emergency rescue team notified Mr. You by phone, Mr. You issued a drill command in the group, announcing the official start of emergency evacuation!
15: 14. The staff of the Business Department rushed out of the office building first with smoke masks, and then other employees from each floor appeared one after another. The on-site staff bent down and lowered their heads, safely and orderly evacuated from the office building to the assembly point!
Finally, after wearing personal smoke masks, the alert and evacuation team ran floor by floor to remind and conduct a final inspection of each office! 15: 20. All employees have been evacuated from the office building and evacuated to a safe location.
After the fire broke out, the alarm contact person remained at their post, organized and guided employees to evacuate in an orderly manner from the safe passage, and medical rescuers quickly responded and arrived at the assembly point, ready to be on standby at any time
Fire extinguisher drill
15: 25. The on-site exercise of "using fire extinguishers to extinguish fires" begins. The warehouse staff prepared two ignition points, and representatives from Xiao Yang and Xie Long demonstrated the use of portable dry powder fire extinguishers to extinguish the fire. The open flames were successfully extinguished within one minute.
Outdoor fire hydrant fire extinguishing drill
15: 28. The on-site drill of "using outdoor fire hydrants to extinguish fires" began. Firstly, Cao Kai gave a detailed explanation to all employees on site about the various components of outdoor fire hydrants, the use of matching wrenches for fire hydrants, and how to connect fire hoses. Subsequently, Lai Xusheng was responsible for connecting and opening the fire hydrant, while Tang Muxin was responsible for holding a water hose water gun to conduct a fire extinguishing drill. The water flow smoothly sprayed out of the water gun, and the drill was successful.
At this point, the fire safety emergency drill has been successfully concluded. Through this fire safety emergency drill, employees have strengthened their understanding of fire theory knowledge, effectively improved their awareness of fire prevention and personal protective skills, and solidified the foundation of enterprise fire safety.
