It's better to chase after the wind when it comes. In early summer May, the Group's Comprehensive Management Department and Yantai Haitai made an appointment to visit colorful Guizhou and embark on a mountain and water journey together!
From May 8th to 20th, 2024, the Comprehensive Management Department, along with employees and their families from Yantai Haitai, formed a team and traveled in two batches to complete a 6-day tour and group building activity in Guizhou.
Day 1: Colorful Guizhou City
Flying over mountains and rivers, watching sunsets and lights, we arrived in Guiyang and met each other, familiar yet unfamiliar. At this moment, although there is a drizzle, it does not affect our expectations for this trip at all.
Day 2: Huangguoshu Waterfall
Today, we are going to visit the magnificent and extraordinary Huangguoshu Waterfall described by Xu Xiake. The sky is bright, the air is humid and fresh, and this kind of weather is definitely the first choice for traveling!
The Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area now includes three attractions: steep slope pond waterfall, Huangguoshu waterfall, and Tianxing Bridge. We first arrived at the upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall. The steep slope pond waterfall is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group. There is a huge karst pool with an area of 15000 square meters on the top of the waterfall, and the waterfall is formed on a calcified beach and dam that meanders over 100 meters long. Before the arrival of floods, the waterfall emits a roaring sound, hence it is also known as the "roaring waterfall". In the travelogue of the Ming Dynasty traveler Xu Xiake, it is written: "When pearls are crushed and jade is broken, droplets surge back, like smoke and mist soaring into the sky, with a majestic momentum.".
From a distance, the Huangguoshu Waterfall cascades down the slope like thunder, and the valley responds. And when we climb up the middle of the waterfall and enter the water curtain cave behind the waterfall, it is another wonderful feeling. I saw a water curtain pouring down from the top, and we looked out through the crystal clear waterfall. The green mountains, trees, and tourists across from the waterfall were faintly visible, as if we were in a fairyland!
Finally, we arrived at the downstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall, which is the exquisite and beautiful Tianxingqiao Scenic Area. Strolling in this natural bonsai area with the theme of the wonderful combination of stones, trees, and water, we can't help but marvel at how wonderful nature is!
Day 3: Xiaoqikong Scenic Area
Early in the morning, we departed from Guiyang and took a 4-hour bus ride to the beautiful Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. The green here is so rich and pure. The lush grasslands, dense forests, and emerald lakes form a beautiful picture.
We are rowing and playing in Yuanyang Lake, and stopping and wandering in the forest on the rocks. Every scenery brings us the most natural and heartfelt smiles.
Day 4: Jiangxi Qianhu Miao Village
The night before, we arrived at the Qianhu Miao Village in Xijiang. Live in the village, enjoy the night view, and experience the unique charm of the Miao village.
In the early morning, amidst the crowing of chickens and barking of dogs, the Miao village had awakened. The blue sky is hazy with mist and rain.
We shuttle through the alleys, transforming into the elder brothers and sisters of the Miao family. A silver bell rings, leaving behind laughter and joy. The noisy long table banquet and the hospitable wine of high mountains and flowing water made us feel the life of the Miao family, hot and spicy!
After having lunch in the Miao village, we quickly arrived at the ancient town of Zhenyuan. This used to be a thousand year old tea horse road, but now it has turned into a peaceful border town, enduring vicissitudes and still shining brightly.
Day 5: Fanjing Mountain - Red Cloud Golden Summit
In the morning, we arrived at the foot of Mount Fanjing. As the most famous Buddhist mountain in the Southwest region, it attracts countless tourists to climb and explore with its unique landforms, rich biodiversity, and profound cultural heritage. Today we are going to explore its diverse scenery.
The azaleas blooming all over the mountains and fields, the miraculous mushroom stones standing tall, and the upward scenery are indeed beautiful! The Red Cloud Golden Summit is right there, and how many people are working hard to reach the final summit. And Lao Jinding, quietly waiting for people's arrival in the clouds. At this point, we can loudly say: Mount Fanjing, we have come!!
Day 6: Qianlingshan Park
Today is a day of free travel in Guiyang. After breakfast, some people are busy shopping for gifts and local specialties, some stroll around the streets and alleys of Guiyang, and some even come to the backyard of Guiyang people - Qianlingshan Park.
Qianling Mountain Park is really a paradise for macaques! Hundreds of monkeys freely frolic and play on the mountaintops and forests, while people stand at the foot of the mountain and by the roadside happily watching them perform. This is the way humans and nature coexist harmoniously
Qianling Mountain Park not only offers a large number of wild monkey herds, but also traces of history and humanistic sentiments. There is Hongfu Temple built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty in the park, with red walls and green tiles, nestled in a green forest. There is also a Qilin Cave here. Patriotic generals Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng were once imprisoned here by Chiang Kai shek. Of course, now this is a great place for people to relax and entertain.
In the evening, accompanied by the sunset, we left Guizhou and returned to Shanghai and Yantai, our homes. After this rest, we will be energized and return to our work to face new challenges!
